Reception Open Evening will be on June 4th at 6pm -7pm. Please come along to meet the teachers, the PTA and sample some school meals. Let the office know if you wish to attend and if you need a free creche place.
Welcome to reception
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to Gildersome Primary School. We are very proud of our school and our Early Years provision which was rated "Good" in our recent OFSTED inspection.
We know that deciding where to send your child to school can often be difficult but hopefully this page to give you a quick overview of our Early Years Provision and provide you with all the information you need should you chose to start your child's school journey with us.

FORMS TO BE COMPLETED
Please click the links below to provide us with all the information we need to prepare for your child to start school in September. It is essential that all three of these forms are completed as soon as possible. You should have received a letter about each of the forms below in your introductory email from the school. If not these letters can be found in the Key Documents section on this page.
SCHOOL MEALS AND MILK
All children from Reception to Year 2 are entitled to a school meal free of charge under the government Universal Infant Free School Meal scheme.
Children up to the age of 5 are also entitled to a free 189ml carton of milk each day. Once your child turns 5 they can continue to receive a carton of milk for a small charge (currently in the region of £18.00 per term). This is payable through Cool Milk. If your child qualifies for 'means tested' free school meals then they will also receive milk free of charge.
