What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium provides additional funding on top of the main funding the school receives. It is targeted at students from disadvantaged backgrounds to ensure they benefit from the same opportunities as children from less deprived families.
At present, the funding is worth £1,480 per child for children who at any time in the past 6 years have qualified for Free School Meals (FSM). In addition, the school can receive £2,570 for any looked after child (who has been looked after for one day or more), was adopted from care on or after December 2005, or who has left care under a Special Guardianship or Residence order.
There is also £340 of funding available for Service children and children in Early Years who meet the qualifying criteria.
If you believe your child meets the qualifying criteria but the school is unaware, please come to the school office and ask to speak to someone in confidence.
